What Dr Jarvik Might Not Be Telling You Part II
I had no idea of this when I wrote part I of this article, which was more about the nutritional depletions that drugs like Lipitor can cause.
It has been reported that Dr Robert Jarvik is being investigated by congress for mis-leading the public on his expertise as a physician.
According to a Wall Street Journal Health Blog, NBC Science editor Robert Bazell questioned Jarvik’s credentials a year ago.
Apparently Jarvik was undable to get into medical school in the U.S., went to school in Italy and returned to the U.S. to graduate from the University of Utah School of Medicine. He did not complet an internship or practice medicine after graduation according to Mr Brazell.
Apparantley, The House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce sent a letter stating “We are concerned that Dr Jarvik’s qualifications may be misinterpreted in this advertisement campaign given that he may not be a practicing physician with a valid license in any state.”
