Last month, the FDA and Wyeth took a major step to restrict women’s access to bioidentical hormones.
In response, P2C2 launched an effort to help women ask their members of Congress to save their access to compounded bioidentical hormones. In just the first 24 hours, more than 2,000 people took action. To date, more than 8,100 people have written letters.
This is a strong start, and OUR MESSAGE IS GETTING THROUGH!
If you wrote a letter, you may have received a response from FDA. If so, click here to read why what the FDA is saying in those letters is misleading.
We are moving into the second phase of our campaign to save your access to bioidentical hormones. As part of this, we are working with our allies on Capitol Hill to make a strong statement in support of bioidentical hormones.
We will need your help, so look for an update from P2C2 in the coming weeks with information on how you can stay involved!
When Wyeth asked FDA to take this action two years ago, 70,000 people wrote to the FDA and asked them to reject this policy. That was a tremendous record-breaking response, but FDA ignored women and listened to Wyeth!
