If you have not read it, you have to read The China Study. An excellent book on the detrimental actions of animal protein on the body.
The author points out that the body treats red meat like an infection, white blood cells rise in response.
Now, people have responded to me that they believe the body looks for certain foods when it is healing or repair mode, such as having an acute illness like the flu.
Now think about it. Unless we are living in a vastu pristine environment, not a stress (emotional, mental, environmental, etc) than we are in some sort of repair mode.
I experienced this at dinner the other night with someone who is just coming out of the flu. After eating a redmeat dinner, they were followed by a fever.
So what was the body doing?
How does the body battle an infection? By running a fever to burn it up.

I guess the true definition of choice is making an infomed decision…and this is how all of your health care decisions should be made.
Informed decsions are not made out of fear…information dismutes the fear.
What are you taught when you are coached to buy a car? Dont make the decision right away, make sure you walk away, etc
Well the health care system has a way of selling us on fear, vaccinations, surgery, even prescription drugs.
Aside from a life threatening situation, you have a choice and it is the job of your health care practitioner to tell you why they are making their recommendation…and remember thats all it is, a recommendation. They are working for you, you actually are paying their salary.
So please, do not be blind sided, education, become informend, empower yourself for you health…for your life

Someone asked me why dogs dont get the flu, and I am not actually positive they don’t, but I am pretty sure.
Have you ever noticed when you have gotten the flu you have a lot going on in your life, you might feel “overwhelmed.” Thats how something as nasty as the flu can take hold. Two ingredients, highly contagious virus or bacteria meets a host overwhelmed with a over worked inner game, than wham.
Dogs on the other hand only worry about what lies in front of them, when they will eat, who will through the ball for them.
If you are feeling ill, or coming down with the flu, first of all….Nucleotides to kick it out of you and calm the mind.

Well, it happened today. As we were at our pharmacy, one of those cute little kids with pigtails came up to Amy with those irresistable words in heart melting fashion, “would you like to by some of the most delicious chocoalate on earth?”
But in true Health Warrior fashion, Amy stood strong in a reply to drop a subliminal, “no, I am sorry, but we do not eat sugar”
I know what you are thinking, “come on, help the kid out, you don’t have to eat it.” Well, we are Health Warrior’s, but we are not perfect, keeping that stuff around would destined to be hit in a stressful moment.
So yes, we did help the kid out, we gave her a donation.
We recommend you do the same, remember you wont eat it if its not around, and all these little kids coming back with donations, but not unloading product, might just send a message on what these groups are peddaling.

Now adays children are dealing with diseases that were once only recognized as “adult” diseases. There are a lot of challenges from toxic food sources, an over medicated health care system, vaccinations, etc etc etc.
The home and family should be one very powerful safe haven for our children and it is up to the parents to ensure it to be so.
Remember, their shoulders are still to small to be carrying the weight of the world.
There are parenting theories to talk to your children as if they are adults, and that definelty has some merit, though I believe we must allow them to be children, to play and only worry about children like stuff.
As parents and guardians one must be very careful not to bring the child into their adult world of worries; bills, woes at work, problems with extended family memebers, the state of the economy, etc.
