Save Your Bio Identical Hormones (Instructions Below)

Official Instructions for BHRT National Congressional Call-In Day

Dear Friend,

The BHRT National Congressional Call-In Day is here!  Tomorrow, September 10, 2008, is the big day.  Thousands of patients, doctors and compounding pharmacists will join together on a single day to call their members of Congress and garner additional co-sponsors for the House and Senate resolutions.  We are urging anyone who has a stake in protecting access to estriol and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) to participate!

At the time this e-mail is being sent, Capitol Hill offices are already closed for the evening.  But we wanted to provide you calling instructions so you can call your senators’ and representative’s offices tomorrow at your convenience.  Most Congressional offices will be open at 9:00 a.m. EST.

Participating could not be simpler.  Follow these 3 easy steps:

1. Retrieve your Congressional contact information.
Click this link
to access your customized Congressional contact information.  In the box, choose whether you are a patient, prescriber or pharmacist. Enter your address, if prompted, and you will be given phone numbers for your members of Congress and talking points for your calls.  Since we’re aiming to flood Capitol Hill with constituent phone calls, please call the Congressperson’s Washington, D.C., office.

You should see three sets of information listed: phone numbers for two senators and one representative.  If your senators or representative have already co-sponsored the estriol resolutions, their contact information will not be listed.

2. Make those calls!

3. Tell us how it went.
Once you finish making your calls, be sure to tell us how they went.  Click on the “Log a Call” link below the phone number for each member of Congress.

Here are a few tips for making calls to Congress:

  • Calls are usually taken by staff members, so ask to speak with the aide who handles healthcare issues.
  • Introduce yourself to the aide.
  • Tell the aide you would like your senator or representative to know that you support the House and Senate resolutions.
  • State the reasons for your support of the resolution.
  • Ask for your senator or representative’s position on the resolution.
  • Be sure to thank the staff person for their time.

Thank you again for your participation and good luck with your calls to Congress!

Sincerely,

P2C2
